It was also known as \u201cPorta Fiorentina\u201d and opened on the western side of the walls. From it started the road (today\u2019s Via Guido Monaco), which first reached the Ciuffenna near the Ponticino, then crossed the stream heading toward the Arno and, after a ford, continued toward Montevarchi along what is now Via Fonte Moschetta.
